Currency and Banking
The Slovene currency is the SIT (Slovene Tolar). 1 EUR is approximately
equivalent to 240 SIT. Unlimited amounts of foreign currency in cash, cheques
etc. may be brought into the country and need not to be declared on entry.
Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, travel agencies,
hotels, and the airport and railway stations. All major credit cards, such as
MasterCard/Euro card, Visa, American Express etc., are accepted in most hotels,
restaurants and shops.

and damage to private property, since the Local Organising Committee cannot be

Local Organiser is offering only optional transport from Trieste airport (Ronchi dei Legionari), Italy to Nova Gorica, Slovenia. For details click here. All other transport must be organised by on your own.
How to get to Nova Gorica
BY CAR
You can reach Nova Gorica from different directions:
Bovec – Nova Gorica: Bovec – Kobarid R1/203 and Kobarid Nova Gorica G2/103. The road has no European (E) designation.
Ljubljana – Nova Gorica: Ljubljana – Razdrto AC/A1, Razdrto – Vipava G1/12 and Vipava – Nova Gorica HC/H4. The European designation of this road is E61 and E70
Koper – Nova Gorica: Koper – Razdrto AC/A1 + G1/10 and Razdrto – Nova Gorica HC/H4 + G1/12. The European designation of this road is E751
Vrtojba – Nova Gorica: Vrtojba – Nova Gorica HC/H4. The road has no European (E) designation.

The major part of the air traffic in Slovenia takes place at the Slovene international airport Brnik www.lju-airport.si, from here flies also the Slovene airline Adria Airways - www.adria.si .
The airport Letališče Brnik distances from Nova Gorica 141 km. The nearest international airport to Nova Gorica is situated in Ronchi (Italy) - Aeroporto Trieste (for optional transport see details below) , which is only 22 km away, the airport in Venice (Italy) - Venezia Marco Polo, however, is 130 km and the airport Venezia Treviso 147 km away.
OPTIONAL TRANSPORT FROM TRIESTE AIRPORT (RONCHI), ITALY TO NOVA GORICA, SLOVENIA
Local Organiser is offering optional transport from Trieste airport (Ronchi dei Legionari), Italy to Nova Gorica, Slovenia (10 € one way - special reduced price). The fee for transport can be paid at the Registration desk which will be open at the Conference Venue (Hotel Perla) on Thursday, the 12th of October 2006, from 12.00 to 13.45. If you will use this optional transport, please do indicate this (with all necessary details) in the conference Registration form (MS Word format, Adobe Reader format).
Vehicle (bus or van) in front of the Trieste airport will be market with SMS VOSLESS board. In case of more arrivals in the short period it may happen that you will have to wait on board (bus or van) for a few minutes.
